Hi All

I'm looking to setup two sky q boxes in the same room for 2 TV's, easy enough, but is there a way to stop the remotes getting confused? I haven't tried it yet, but as you can swap remotes with boxes just by moving them into different rooms I imagine this will cause confusion and they'll control the wrong box etc?

I got my sky Q installed yesterday and he specifically said the two controllers are interchangeable but only if you program them to be. So you should be fine

The Bluetooth ones only work on the Silver boxes and not the mini's.

Mini's are only IR, Silvers are both.

Also good luck trying to get two silvers in you first attempt.

I think (hope) problem solved. Going to put the silver and a mini in the same room.
Hopefully this will work.....

Will report back once done!

That should work if you keep the Silver inside a cupboard so it can't see the IR remote controlling the mini box. And then the bluetooth remote will control the hidden Silver.

Wrong. BT remotes are compatible with both main Q boxes and minis

You know what, I've just tested it and you're right, they must have turn that on in an update or my Sky Engineer was wrong when I ask him over a year ago as he did our install.

Either way, it doesnt change the solution, other than being able to be able to have two dedicated BT remotes, each paired to an individual box.
