Best headset for dual purpose ?
Discussion
Looking for advice please. Son#1 is looking for a good set of on ear headphones that he can use for :
1 - gaming on PS4 with an in-line mic or equivalent plugged into the controller so he can shout to his mates as they blow things up
2 - to be either Bluetooth or plugged into his phone / iPad so he can listen to music
We bought these.....he was extremely pleased with comfort and sound quality.....but being numpty’s we didn’t realise they didn’t have an inline mic so are useless for the gaming angle.

Anyone got advice for what might be the ideal solution ? Up to ~ £100
Thanks

Could still get something working with what he's got, for less than buying another set. One of the mics that turn regular headphone into a headset is the most obvious thing.
VModa Boompro is a no-go as it's 3.5mm jack, it looks like the 4.40 uses Sennheiser's proprietary 2.5mm, unfortunate as that simply acts as the headphone cable and mic in one.
An Antlion Modmic (from about £35) is probably the way to go; you stick it onto one ear cup and plug it in as a regular mic, set the input on the PS4 to the mic and output to the bluetooth cans and you're set (or use the cable, but that means two cables to the 'headset') .
