You could ask Google Assistant that question? hehe

On a slightly different question, has anyone else’s home button stopped taking them back to the home screen / dashboard?
Have you tried the 'sync menu' button, then 'tv control with tv remote' - works for me, I have to reset it every couple of weeks or so, no idea why.

You try pressing that microphone button and getting a reaction! Metal Mickey had more compute power on TV.

I too have a Bravia running Android and all of the "smart TV" features are garbage. Slow menus, slow to buffer 4k and I randomly get a black bar going 2/3rds across the bottom of my screen (where a volume bar should be). It seems to be a known bug, and has been known for 2 years...

It's my only way of streaming 4k, thinking of getting a new Xbox to cover that off instead.

My Bravia is coming up to 2 years old now. It’s unbelievably crap at everything other than being a display (and even then, it’s not 100% guaranteed that it will turn on at all, or, for that matter, turn off, on demand).

I use the PS3 for almost all streaming. I can’t even bear to switch the Sony from HDMI (PS3) to TV. It takes a few minutes to switch, if it’s even willing to do so; otherwise, it just refuses to respond.

After a couple of years of optimism wrt updates, I’ve given up all hope of it improving.

The only thing I occasionally try streaming on it is ITV (not available on my PS3) and that’s a double whammy of crapness because the TV sometimes refuses to allow the app to work and, even if it does, the ITV hub is junk.

Overall verdict: worst TV that I have ever bought. Will stick to Pannys which are head and shoulders above.

Don’t use the smart functions in a TV. They are all st.

Just plug a fire stick or an Apple TV in and do the smart stuff through that instead.

Talking nonsense!

My other TV, the Panasonic (with the Firefox OS) was brilliant for Youtube, Netflix, Amazon 4k.

The Sony is good at youtube and Netflix, Amazon is an issue. The speed it takes at times to register you've pressed a button is an issue too.

I just bought a new 40inch Panasonic for upstairs, it uses their fork of the Firefox OS since Mozilla dropped it = faultless. It appears that Android TV is the issue.
