Ok I got my LG oled a few weeks back now found out I need a usb storage device 1TB to be precise, however reading through reviews I need something that will work correctly formatted so it will plug and play ?
I am using this only for record and playback .

To to clarify, you want to use the built-in freeview tuner to record and playback shows? You have to use a USB HDD for that. LG in their infinite wisdom claim that USB drives arent quick enough (which is rubbish thesedays).

I have used a USB pen drive (a 32GB USB 3.0 Lexar S25 to be precise) to record HD TV using my LFEF950V. The TV does a short test on the drive to make sure it's fast enough before you are allowed to use it. Seems a shame if they have removed that from the newer TV's!

Thanks for reply’s I have sorted this using a seagate back up plus ultra slim 1TB formatted correctly and was simple plug in

I gave up trying to record from mine.

It would often miss recordings that were set to record a season.
