Small addition made. Also picked up a NAD 521BEE which isn't entirely working yet.

I have a modest system now days, 8000a planar3 marantz cd17 ms10i pearl speakers. The old faithful planar 3 with a shibata stylus upgrade has made a big improvement.

Hard to get a decent pic as I'm currently livong in a small annexe a d theres not much room! One system is a Marantz CR610 with Lumley speakers, for in built internet radio and playing music / watching films on my mac, the other is an Arcam Solo and some Monitor Audio Bronze B1's, for the playstation. Have both systems so I can listen to music and play games at the same time smile

It sounds a lot nicer than you might expect! I previously used my Naim Nac 72 and Nap 140 with these speakers which sounded a little too dry, whereas the Marantz seems to be more musical. It was a hand me down from my Dad, he didnt want it as the cd player has an intermittent fault so I thought I would try it out of boredom mostly laugh

Finally built it all out: Townshend Elite Rock 2 turntable, Musical Fidelity X-A1 Amp, 2 x XA-50 monoblock amps, X-LPS phono pre-amp, X-Ray CD player, X-Can V2 headphone amp and Kef IQ-5 speakers. The Echo Dot actually does a semi-resonable job of streaming music into it all as well!

I can recognise Marillion's Misplaced Childhood - anyone else want a go at naming the LPs?

Think this thread is worthy of a bump.

I have finally come to the realisation in life that I do not always need the greatest and latest. The kit has to be in the corner and I stream using Spotify so there’s always going to be a compromise. Never mind the expanse of timber and glass. So....

Sonos Connect with Spotify Premium.
Audiolab 600a.
Monitor Audio RX1
BK XLS 200 using the Neutrik cable.
Chord Odyssey speaker cable.
Merlin mains cables.

And it just sounds great. No matter what you play. Gets my foot tapping and with the near full range output makes me laugh out loud sometimes too. The sub took a while to place but it integrates in nicely.

The only thing I would want to change is the speakers to PMC GB1’s which I have always regretting selling. But finding a pair in the condition I’d want is impossible.

The RX1’s are great. And you don’t really get speakers like this anymore. Big drivers in small boxes that are easy to drive are hard to find.

Rubbish picture and I will be tidying up the cables but my system has recently been updated. (Picture was taken before I got the Pre Amp.)

[Naim Unity Nova]
[Monitor Audio Silver 6]
[Pro-Ject Debut 3 SE]
[Graham Slee Communicator Gram Amp 2]
[PSU1 Power pack]
[Marantz CD64]

I was going to upgrade the speakers after buying the Nova but in all honesty, I'm blown away by the sound-stage, imaging and musicality of my setup I don't think I'll bother. People keep telling me to buy some Focal's to do it justice but I'm holding out for now.

I've got the latest MA Bronze speakers and I really like them in all honesty, I think MA speakers are really good for the money.
