Since one of the TVs packed up last week I keep coming back to these.

Hopefuly they will drop enough for me to purchase one within the £1K (ish) mark.

Anyone else after one?

Cheers

We've been looking at a larger TV to replace our old 42" and was quite astonished to view a monster 85" Sony TV in the local PC World for £2,799.00 which dwarfed everything around it, and the more I looked, the more enticing it became. How I managed to leave the store without ordering it I don't know - it was truly astonishing.

Having recovered my senses (I think), have now been considering the Samsung UE75RU7199 (2019) TV which is still a whopping 75" in size, and costs a more reasonable £1,149.00 from John Lewis with a 5 year warranty.

Ought to mention that JL also sell the Sony 85" TV KD85XG8596 (2019) for £2,799.00 so am hoping that I don't weaken and go and buy the Sony TV in a bout of madness!

If money was no object I would snap up the 85" in an instant because it's just a monster, but have a wife and kids to feed so need to scale back my expenditure a bit, well that's what I keep telling myself!

I ended up buying one yesterday in John Lewis at Birmingham Grand Central train station before I hit the German Market.

They price matched and I also used an employee discount courtesy of the wife.

Expensive night out!

Which TV did you buy in the end, and what do you think to it so far?

We went back into JL Nottingham on Sunday to compare both models but they didn't have either the 85" Sony or the cheaper 75" Samsung on display which was very disappointing.

We're currently sitting on the fence debating what to buy so any help is much appreciated!!!
