So, after many many many months of thinking about it, I've actually placed a pre order for the Bose quietcomfort earbuds which are released tomorrow, I should have them tuesday.

I normally wait for a few months after release to see how the new products are doing, but, I've waited long enough!!

Interesting, T5's finally arrived with me on Thursday.

I'm certainly enjoying them.

Amazon have done themselves proud. They continued selling the Bose earbuds, even though they didn’t have stock.
So, the day of arrival, they were still saying ‘arriving today’ until 10am, when i had the email saying that they’re trying really hard to get stock and now there’s no delivery date. The Bose website is saying 7/8 weeks.
I’m going to see if anywhere else has stock and then cancel my amazon order.

Maybe time for a re-think?

Which ones did you get? There’s not much in the way of reviews for the t5’s yet?

Cambridge Audio Melomania 1.
Replaced a set of Sennheiser Momentum Frees with them and they're outstanding.
I also have the Cambridge Audio Melomania and find them absolutely excellent. They don't have noise cancelling but they way they fit snugly in your ears means they block out most noise, and to me, this is fine.

The battery life is bonkers. They last hours and hours and hours.

I notice they are now £89 which is silly value.

I'm considering the QC's to replace my Wireless Soundsport ( that I think sound superb for the price using using my Sony XM 2's as comparison ).

Still use them on a daily basis but the wire gets on my nerves a bit..... Would like to know if sonically they sound better... If not I can put up with the wire ...

Does anybody have any thoughts on the Sony WF-1000XM3? These are on my radar as the reviews are universally positive and I’m not bothered by what is quoted as one of the bigger drawbacks (they look massive). I’m also curious, similarly to the chap above me, if the sound quality will be comparable to a pair of 10 year old wired Klipsch ear buds costing £100 back in the day - if that’s an answerable question.

I dont know if things have improved but I had a pair of XM2's but had to send them back due to latency problems watching vids on my iPad.

If you care about noise cancelling, buy the Sonys.
if you don't, buy the Cambridge Audio Melomanias.

You don’t recommend the Bose then ?

The QC’s are amazing. I have previously owned the AirPods Pro and the NC on these is noticeably better. They feel solid and secure on the standard tips. I have the jabra 75t’s and Powerbeats pro and the Bose beat them all.

Yet to try them so can't give an informed opinion sadly. They are supposed to be very good though.

I’ve decided to leave it for the time... If I’m not careful I’ll start to amass a collection !

AirPod pros are good enough but more importantly work so well with iPhone no faffing about with pairing and the mic quality is good in case of zoom calls

just to update, Had the bose quietcomfort earbuds for a couple of weeks now.

I found them a bit fidly to find the correct size tips, the supply three sizes. Also, the Bose app isn't the best to use, it's ok, nothing more.

The NC is brilliant, as you would expect with Bose.

The sound is also great, comparable to my over ear Sony WH1000xm3's.

Overall, really like them and glad I held on for them.

That is true, but you have to remember that most decent Bluetooth earphones do exactly the same pairing etc just as well.

As an example, I have the Cambridge Audio Melomania and they work in an identical fashion to the AirPods.

As soon as you flip open the case to take them out, the earphones seamlessly connect with your iPhone and you don’t even know it’s happened.

When you take the earphones out of your ears and drop them into the case, they seamlessly disconnect.

You never have to do anything.

Plus, they support all the usual tapping gestures on them to skip tracks, pause, volume etc and and the usual built-in mic for calls.

The advantage the AirPod Pro’s have over the Melomania is the active noise cancelling, but on the flip side, the battery life of the Melomania is almost twice that of the AirPod Pro and the sound quality is rated slightly better than the AirPod as well.

Horses for courses really. The AirPod Pro are excellent, but so are other ‘audiophile’ brands for less money.
