Been looking at a new tv. Both Samsung’s, one 49” qled for £999 80 series and a 50” qled for £650 60 series. Originally gonna go for the cheaper one but now thinking about spending the extra. Was told by the shop big difference in picture etc but in reality is it worth the big price difference. Will I really notice much difference in real life.
Even the cheaper one should be a step up as tv got now is about 6yrs old just a normal led one.
Nothing wrong with it just fancy a new one!

The more expensive one will have a better picture processing chipset/software and a better panel/more dimming zones (not looked at specs but that's generally the difference in pricier TVs)

If you're considering spending £1k then definitely consider an OLED - LG have recently released a 48" version if you have space constraints, but there's 55" versions from LG/Panasonic/Philips around that price - LG make all the panels, the difference is in picture processing chips/software, Panasonic seems to be getting a lot of praise for their processing currently.

This website might help if you want to get down to the nitty gritty.

(I'm not sure on the exact models you're looking at)
