Very nice mate. Love those Iota amps... Was gutted not to get one when they were 400 quid!

No where near the standard of some of the setups on here which are amazing !!

We had a false wall built (Batons, marine play and MDF which was the routed in a random pattern) and an LG OLED 65 and Sonos Arc, Sub and One SL's. Then added a Hue LED strip (2x 5M) and some floating units/shelving. Hidden away is a Micro PC for streaming football smile

Do you mind sharing where you bought the cabinets from? I can see a few similar on Wayfair but unsure if they’re able to hang on a wall so I want to get the right ones!

Bowers & Wilkins Formation Soundbar
Bowers & Wilkins Formation Flex rears

Enhanced with Philips Ambilight Strips plastered into fireplace.

Playing the XBox and movie nights with the kids are very good.

Next Purchase, Formation Bass to complete the surround sound set up.

So, updating this thread I have slowly been upgrading my system. Originally started with a 77 inch OLED LG (staying, as it's brilliant) and Sony STR 1080 receiver (same, for the moment), and a cheap, award winning set of Tannoy satellites and 8 inch sub. The speakers were soon very obviously out of their depth.

My old pair of PMC TB2 Plus monitors have been repurposed as fronts (these are absolutely excellent with the Sony amp - far better than I thought they would be, given their age), and centre and rears are Monitor Bronzes (mismatched speaker set, but it sounds lovely). The Monitor Audio centre is surprisingly good for a speaker impulse bought in a sale with 50% off, as were the rears).

Two of the Tannoy satellites are now mounted high and mid room as Atmos speakers, as the amp can do this. I need to set them up properly, but the surround already sounds great.

Sub was found wanting. I attempted to use my old Musical Fidelity A3.2 amp and PMC XB1P sub for this purpose, but it didn't work as it obviously won't integrate properly, and is clunky to operate. So much for saving some money. To be honest, I have never been that impressed with the XB1P i the many years I have owned it so it's going up for sale in case someone wants a monitor grade sub rather than something more musical and punchy.

Bought a pair of B&W PV1Ds in a recent sale, but remained a bit unimpressed. Beautiful to look at, but not really delivering the low notes that well.

Sent these back, and have ordered a pair of SVS SB1000 Pro 12 inch active subs as a replacement. £575 each, which is the cheapest I have seen them - they never seem to get put in a big sale. i like the fact that you can meddle with the sub settings via the bluetooth app - a great idea. These also get pretty good reviews, and I have a small room so don't think I need a ported design with loads of power.

Let's see how this all pans out! It's a small room, so this should all have a great deal of headroom now. It's a dedicated room, so the slightly ugly SVS subs (got them in black ash - in gloss back they are over £150 each more expensive!) can be tolerated - I shall find a way to make them look better, should they do good things and get to stay here.

Will send photos once it is all up and running...this will be running the receiver's full capability as a 7.2 system, so let's see if it copes.

Now to eBay my old sub. Trouble is, it may be a better sale if it goes with the TB2+ speakers...but I love them.

Keep the PMC's and add the matching centre - https://www.avforums.com/threads/pmc-tb2m-c-in-wal...

I've a pair of PMC GB1, initially used with an ancient/cheap Tannoy centre until I got the matching PMC DB1c - what a difference it made to the front soundstage, seamless across the front LCR with great dialogue performance.

On the SVS, the app is brilliant. Have you had a play about with the REW simulator?

I've got the pb2000 Pro and it's massive, although tempted to add a second to try and get more even bass across the room,

SVS subs are a great range and the app makes them very usable.

But there are bigger! Lol

I looked at the PB1000 Pro, the ported one for even lower bass, but my tiny room (3m x 3m x 2.4m high) meant a smaller sub was necessary. Or two smaller subs, as I'm an idiot and like things neatly symmetrical...

Looking forward to receiving these and setting them up! The app was a big draw. Easy setup and adjustment.

These SVS subs are brilliant. I need to do some more careful setup, and they need to be run in, but they are already a transformation of the experience.

Not big enough for full trouser flapping bass, but perfectly pitched for my room. You feel the bass now, as well as hearing it. I do think though that a bigger room would need more. But these are perfect for mine.

They are perhaps not as musical as the PV1Ds, or even my original 8 inch Tannoy, but they are far better at atmospheric and theatrical bass, and they still have some running in to do and of course can be heavily tuned from the app.

App is fantastic too. And the small size of the enclosures mean they don't look too ugly.

Now for some cable tidying etc.
