Just ordered a second hand NAD C320 BEE so looking forward to trying that out. Will post pictures when set up.

Ill use them with my Dali Zensor 1s but keen to test them against my son's Mission M71s.
How much was it? I gave £100 for mine about 10 years back, its VERY good; runs through Tannoy sixes
Cheers. £50 so potentially a massive bargain.

My best find yet though is in the cinema room and hooked up as the front speakers - a pair of Castle Severn 2 floorstanding speakers. Quite hefty but they get a pass as its the cinema room, and we finally have a house with plenty of space for such things.

They sound fantastic even through the AV amp. I would like at some point to get hold of a Quad or Naim pre/power amps to drive these as it would be nice to have something a little more in keeping but I am happy with the way things stand.

Though I do still dream of popping into the charity shop to find a pair of Quad electrostatics waiting for me...
Well, I succumbed and bought a Quad 405 power amp that had been upgraded/replaced caps etc. to drive the Severn 2s. All hooked in now and being fed via a pre/DAC I had.

Not had a huge opportunity to listen properly yet, but so far it sounds lovely and a step above the AV amp (not surprisingly). After about a 40 year wait I feel like I have achieved something!
I bet that sounds rather fine !
I am thoroughly impressed. The room is a reasonable size - about 5x5m stone floors and walls but with plenty of soft furnishings/curtains (and no neighbours!) so I can turn it up a little. Even at average volumes it sounds lovely and effortless with plenty of low end bass and the imaging is a step above what I have had before. I have dug out/rediscovered some of the Windham Hill recordings and listening to those is such a delight - and of its time... Nostalgia hifi!

Wonderful, and the Windham Hill recordings are right up there with the very best productions by Deutsche Gramofon. Michael Hedges, Alex de Grassi, George Winston, Mark Isham, Tuck & Patti, Pierre Be Susan are all on my regular listens.

Enjoy your soundstage!

Going to post a picture of my ES stack. It brings me a lot of pleasure. One day, I will get the correct wood sides, one day…

There are stacks, then there are skyscrapers... Brilliant!

Are there any more components you can get or do you have the full house?

Funny you should say that, here is the same stack, but with the multiplayer cd ontop….I took it off as it was too high above the sofa and want to try to keep it out of the wife’s eyeline…

The next step would be to replace the TA-F670ES integrated amp. As I now have the digital pre-amp, I can now go for 2 TA-N55ESmonoblock power amps instead. Saying that, this stack was only ever supposed to be from the ££ or £££ range of ES components, you can of course spend ££££ on the very best but things get pricey and might become marginal gains.

Now that would be lovely…i believe they are vanishingly rare, I don’t think I have ever seen a working one come up for sale.

From what I've read it's the only ES turntable they made. Looks bloody lovely too.

Saw these in an auction house yesterday funnily enough. Being sold next week I think.

I think I had that cassette deck
I did have a Sony pre amp digital processing amp that was similar to but I'm not sure was the one you have I only had it a month or so before it went in a burglary. The same burglary where they robbed my top of the range Sony Betamax but left the Panasonic S-VHS machine
The only other ES thing I had was the Sony STS700ES tuner which was absolutely brilliant. It was a fantastic tuner

Actually I forgot my Sony APM 22 speakers which are ES and in regular use

The place isn't an audio specialist and it's not an audio equipment sale. They're from a house clearance, I'm told. All electrical items are tested before sale for safety by law. Not my sort of thing, but I'm not sure the auctioneer knows what he has, so they could be a bargain for someone.

Wow. Though I suspect they could be as spendy as an old Porsche once you bought them...

Got to love the huge hifi stack with the Neat Iotas, probably the world's smallest floorstanding speaker.
