Not enough HDMI ports
Discussion
OK, I'm not sure who is the bigger idiot here, the person who designed the new TV to only have 2 HDMI ports or me that actually bought it? Don't answer that.
Can anyone recommend a good HDMI switch box? Do the auto-switching functions ever reliably work? I have technophobes in the house so I want avoid another remote or extra buttons if I can.

Well you knew how many inputs it had when you bought it :P
What are your requirements? Think about the future as well. I've always had an AVR so never had issues. You could always buy a manual switching box? Alternatives would be a sound bar with a decent number if inputs, or use it as an excuse to get a new TV

TV is a few months old. It has 2 HDMI ports and I needed 2 when I bought it....then I bought an Xbox. What are your requirements? Think about the future as well. Classic PH, I started out looking at a cheapy HDMI switch for £20-30 and I've just spent the last 30mins browsing £300-400 soundbars! A little bit of scope creep.
These are dirt-cheap and work well. Plug your devices in in the most likely priority and it'll switch as devices are powered on.
No audio\video quality issues I've ever seen, and I actually now use a couple as switches for a couple of computer monitors, as they're far cheaper than a multi-monitor KVM.

Still looking for a bargain soundbar though.
