LG might re-sell them, recycle them, or they might just dump them. What do mobile companies do with phones? I don't know though as they don't do it with TVs. However with a greater focus on the circular economy, including relevant legislation, I'd err more towards the former options if they did it. Of course, they could still end up on a boat to somewhere.
