I have an LG B7 V3 55" and it's really good, the best telly I have ever had. It's nearly 4½ years old and has some green screen burn from the YouTube logo in the top right hand corner, but most of my viewing is on that so it likely won't be an issue if you don't watch as much YouTube as I.

I'm itching to upgrade as I really want eARC and 65". I'm tempted by the Sony range. They use LG-made OLED panels but have a much betted Android OS rather than LG's webOS.
Imo WebOS is superb for TV and I would take it over Android any day. My LG OLED screen failed after 4 years "Green Haze" LG were basically not interested, £2K, 4 year old TV fHowever something to consider are dead pixels.

ked! LG says it is a known fault but the screen isn't covered under warranty.So whilst LG do manufacture superb TV's, just make sure the model you choose does have a screen coverage on the warranty. As much as I like LG I would not buy another on principle.
Sony Bravia is now my new purchase, very pleased so far.
The OLED IS undoubtedly better picture quality though.

Yes you do get screen burn on OLEDs.Would be like back to the plasma days.
I use my one as a PC monitor and you can (occassionally, depending on colours) see my task bar at the bottom of the screen.
As far as I can remember, I don't think it's as bad as plasma burn in in my case.
Got a 75" LG for the pub to watch the rugby.
Incompatible with ITV Hub so had to run it off my laptop (the maximize button did nothing so you had a tiny screen in the middle).
BBC iPlayer was fine.
Good picture and sound.

My LG 65 is about 2 years old and has screen burn all over the place, most noticeable against reddish backgrounds. Newer ones have processes to help prevent this I believe but I will be getting a QLED next as it is supposed to be burn free. Need to research it more.Would be like back to the plasma days.
We got 2 LG G1 of different sizes and can't complain. Great image and we like the Magic Remote. We bough ours because we wanted a flush wall mount that others don't seem to offer. Time will tell if it's a good choice. So far so good. I think TV's these days are much the same within their ranges. Probably not enough discernible difference on higher end panels for everyday use from all the big manufacturers.

I would add that I never had the problem with my previous plasma TV which i had for donkey's year and never took any particular trouble to avoid the issue.

If you move quickly then you can still - just about - get last year's LG models at a big discount to the 2022 models (e.g. £1600 for a 2021 "C" model vs £2400 for the 2022 equivalent).
Yes the 2022 models have some incremental improvements (possibly v hard to detect to the naked eye unless you go for the top-end super bright panels) but the "C" model was the best buy you could get last year.
Just bought a 65" model myself, I also have a couple of Panasonic plasma (Z and VT series) and a projector. They all have excellent pictures, different characteristics of course, but paired with a good source the OLED has some obvious advantages over the plasmas (4K & HDR).

Don't get me wrong, the TCL TV's are supposedly excellent.
Popped into curry's impressed with sound and picture on LG C1 55 @1099
Budget creep to the 2022my c2 though. Its £1899, less £200 cashback and curry's are offering an additional £100 off so essentially £500 more.
Is it worth an extra £500? I really don't know.
ETA I notice John Lewis offering a full 5 yr warranty too, not just the panel.

Nice picture and sound, C2 has a tidier stand than the C1, old sound base is redundant, plenty of apps to play with. Not sure its worth the money but its ok. A bit like John Travolta on sampling Uma's 5 dollar shake.
Menus aren't intuitive, so a bit of a pain with recordings, and cant work out how to set up a freeview favorites list. Probably get it all worked out in time.
