Some films on Sky Q very quiet

We have Sky Q and for sound use a Sonos Beam and 2 x Play 1’s.

Generally for most things I will have the volume 20. I watched Gran Turismo this weekend which was downloaded from Sky cinema and it was so quiet. I tried the Flash last night and same dead quiet, I had to turn the volume up to 40 ish. Barbie is absolutely loud at volume 20.

Is this a Sky Q issue?

Depends what the film is sound wise, if DD+ for example it will be quieter as there is far more dynamic range.

You can't push the top end, as in make the louder parts louder as it will clip, so you lower the quieter parts.

So you have to up the volume and start from a higher base point.
