Der, you don't happen to have any Panny LXD500's either 32" (most preferable) or 26" at a decent price do you?

THe LXD60's don't have audio output and the 600's are to pricey

Any advice much appreciated

Ta.

Ok - just realise something - that although pricey relative to the current market average for decent quality 32s, the LXD600 is a Mulliner Park Ward bathing in a sea of nice but ever so slightly sterile S classage. (Plus I can shave a groat or three orf.)

500s are long gone.

If you really can't justify £1100, the sibling JVC, LT-32DX7 is the no brainer alternative for 800 sovs.

Fidgits,

As per usual, the PH-DeR teleport device is woefulitus incarnate.

However, an electronic communique will shortly be hurtling your way.

The Hitachis are indeed, preposterously effective - the 42PD9700 if you like your secret agents dressed in black, the 8700 variant if you prefer the simple charms of a Kamchtatkan rifle competition.

Either way, it seems little can reverse the ungodly march of socilaist bum-think.

Der,
Given the PH to Der continuum is at present somewhat patchy, forgive the intrusion onto your blameless browsification.

Having purchased a Pioneer (for shame, from elsewhere, but that was before I cast eyes upon the Beetle at Weltmeister, and swore to channel funds to that ultimate purpose from this point onwards) 436XDE a year or so ago, I cannot be happier with the picture. At the time, however, the associated sound devices seemed slightly less than good value, and as a result, I have been running all sound through a curmudgeonly set of PC speakers. Has the Pioneer kit come down in value, to the point where it would be less than foolhardy to think of an acquisition?

Yours,

A Notherner in Exile.

Tbh, Pioneer electronics are damn fine but could you be a tad more specific with yon requirements?

Transducer-wise, I'd look elsewhere...

:laughs: Yay, Der needs a translator too!

Bought a Pioneer PDP436XDE last year, but the speaker was WAYYY too pricey. Are they cheaper now that we can see the next gen along the path?

No, Marcus, the speakers for that set will have gorn the way of the Ehohipus.

If signularity of point source is your bag and you fancy something with the ability to sonically orbit yon bonce, the multi-speakered repertoires proffered by the Yamaha YSP series (800 or 1000) may be a quality option.

I've got one, resplendant in it's box since the demise of provincial cabinet making - yet another woeful reminder of the evils of socialism and political correctness as the role of worthy artisan has been inexorably usurped by the reign of chavular nihilism.

Purely in the interests of stockroom clearance and minor airflow improvement, I'd be interested in that. Drop me a line to marcus@restofmyusername.org. Thanking you for the impeccable service.
