A friend is selling one of these.

It cost £1100 new 2 years ago and still has 3 years warranty left, it also comes with a remote control swivel stand!

What is a fair price to offer?

Found a few places selling this new (discontinued) for around £800.

I reckon £3-400 is reasonable though. Worst he can say is no.

If you get it for £400 you've done very well.

As it will hand a lot of current generation sets their arses.

Chassis construction c/o Brunel.

Thanks, I've started the bidding at £400...

Out of interest how many years should you get out of a plasma with fairly low usage?

They're said to reach half brightness (technically agreed end of life) at 50K hours.

So even if its watched for 5hours a day, its going to last a while!

Managed to agree a price of £450. I'm quite pleased with that, now I just need to haggle with Sky for a free HD+ box...
