New "Home Cinema" room

Well the loft rooms are nearly finished - plastering and decorating this week.

My plans have changed a bit, the room is going to be more of an office/workshop/lounge combo so I think a projector is out, probably going to settle for a 40" or so plasma - anyone have particular recommendations?

Ive got a Sony Bravia 40" which is superb, also its bigger brother, the KDL-46W, which is also brilliant linked up to a bluray player.

Shame the PJ is out of the question.......you'll have to rename this thread as your "New TV room" though as a Plasma just isn't 'Cinema' Recommendation wise you could do a lot worse than look at the Panasonic 42" or 50" 'G10' models or try to find a shop with a Pioneer Kuro left in stock. I have a Sony 40" LCD myself, but it's just for day to day TV, if I didn't have the projector I'd be looking at a 50" version of one of the above.

lol - that is a very good point!

we have a Bravia downstairs - difficult to fault really, I wondered about one of the LED ones(I love the LED screen on my MacBook Air) but people seem to think they are not worth the extra.

Wait until they scale up OLED
