update....

Well the loft rooms are nearly finished - plastering and decorating this week.

My plans have changed a bit, the room is going to be more of an office/workshop/lounge combo so I think a projector is out, probably going to settle for a 40" or so plasma - anyone have particular recommendations?

Ive got a Sony Bravia 40" which is superb, also its bigger brother, the KDL-46W, which is also brilliant linked up to a bluray player.

Shame the PJ is out of the question.......you'll have to rename this thread as your "New TV room" though as a Plasma just isn't 'Cinema' evil Recommendation wise you could do a lot worse than look at the Panasonic 42" or 50" 'G10' models or try to find a shop with a Pioneer Kuro left in stock. I have a Sony 40" LCD myself, but it's just for day to day TV, if I didn't have the projector I'd be looking at a 50" version of one of the above.

lol - that is a very good point!

we have a Bravia downstairs - difficult to fault really, I wondered about one of the LED ones(I love the LED screen on my MacBook Air) but people seem to think they are not worth the extra.
