HUMAX Users Tip. I have updated two 9200T's and a 9150T so this should also apply to the 9350T

1 You will lose any Scheduled recordings on those channels that are moving so Make a note of them.

2 Before using the Auto tuning feature delete channel 5, ITV3,ITV4 and channels between 30 and 45 using the Edit Channel list feature. This will put the New channels in the correct slots on the EPG. Again if you have any scheduled recordings on those channels you will need to re-input them.

3 ITV2+1 re-appeared on my boxes as ITV but further down the EPG. IT IS ITV2+1 but they seem to have mislabelled it.

4 If your channels are in a funny order then using the Edit channel feature delete the channels that are "out of order" and do another Auto tune.

5 If you still have any "800" channels then you will find they have "placeholders" stating that you need to re-tune. These are the "Old" Channel 5 etc channels and will be removed in due course.

If I come across any other "funny's" I'll post them.
None of that should be required (except item 1) if you just reset to factory default, which automatically erases all the old channel settings and runs the Installation Wizard.

And deletes all your scheduled recordings favourite channels etc. This way retains the majority and cuts down the work required.

That would depend on the number of scheduled recordings, favourites etc. that you had set up. I can only speak for myself, but I would much sooner re-enter say, 4 or 5 recordings than faff about with editing channel listings and have to deal with other 'funnies' as you call them. Besides, reverting to default was the only way I could get sound & picture on ITV3/4.

Our ITV4 'name' in the listing was replaced by a channel called 'YOT' which is actually ITV4.
I've just renamed it back.

Yeh, with the humax stuff the Auto Tune option sould really be labelled 'Add new channels' because that is all it does, the default settings option is the one you should use then put back any sheduled recordings.

I have over 20 scheduled programs and 4 favourite lists. I did consider returning to default but the last time I did that I missed some programs Hence My "guide" for those in a similiar "boat" but without my "tech savvyness".

I can no longer get ITV4 or Channel 5! When I go to Channel 5 it just says "Channel 5 has moved - you need to re-tune your box". That's what I just did!

Three boxes , newest Bush Top up TV one , no problems seen, oldest On Digital all OK, Sony DVD HD 770 refused to spot CH5, lost ITV4 , E4 and ITV2 +1 . Had to use the On digital box to find the channel number and enter each correctly.

Cheers all for the info, I ran the default setting thigie on the Humax box and all seems to be well now although I haven't paid much attention to the channel order so I'll have a look at that.

What a blooming faff!

When you retune make sure you do not pick the 'Add new channels' option, you need to do a full retune, somethimes its called default settings or system reset or something similar, if you still cant do it then post up the make and model of your box.

How many customers will call saying they cant see the Free HD? Little seems to have been said about the need to buy an HD box to go with it.
And the HD telly to go with it. I found it annoying when a couple of years they were sprouting all this about the digital change over, BUT didnt then mention digi box's, its only recent the ad on telly mentions the digi box's.

Did the early ads result in some changing to eithere sky or some other system thinking their cherished tellys would't work?
