Are there any known compatibility issues between the two above? Will the netgear box run SlimServer?

Seriously looking at buying two, one for the Chairman's house and one for mine.

SqueezeCentre is one of the std streaming services on the devices out of the box.

Great bits of kit.

excellent. Ordered one anyhow, so will have to order Squeezebox at some stage when they are all settled in.

if you look on the logitech website they do a version especially for the readynas

just be aware that on the entry level models, that only have like 500Mhz CPU and 256MB RAM, its not going to be as fast at indexing 50,000 mp3 tunes as your 2.8Ghz PC with 2GB RAM etc

...its perfectly adequate and usable (used one to serve my 2 squeezeboxes for over a year now) but as with anything, the more you pay, the more powerful readynas you have the fast it does these tasks..
