i have a one box pioneer surround sound set up with 1 HDMI output and then phono inputs.

the ps3 has one HDMI output. if i send the picture through the hdmi to the tv, how do i split the sound and send that to my inputs on my surround sound box.

is there a scart to phono style splitter i can use for hdmi and sound etc.

any info appreciated.

My PS3 has seperate audio outputs so I wired HDMI to the TV and used the phono audio outs to connect to the surround sound. Then under audio is the settings menu you can select the appropriate output options.

You can get a PS3 output that is not HDMI - i had to use one on my old TV which only had scart inputs.

my ps3 didnt come with a av mulit scart lead only a hdmi lead (i bought ps3 2nd hand)

i have sorted it nowthough after much fussing, hdmi for the picture and i used my old ps2 multi scart lead to take the sound from the ps3 to my surround sound box.

I then had to go into sound settings and tick the box for multiple audio outputs or something like that. now working puka.
