Samsung LE37R86 TV Problems

I don't normally visit this forum but our relatively new TV is behaving strangely.

The picture set-up menu keeps returning to the factory default mode within about 20 minutes of resetting the various picture settings. Is there any logical reason why it might behave like this?

Check the TV isn't in 'shop' or 'demo' mode as opposed to 'home' mode.

It will be somewhere in settings. You may need to redo the initial setup to change this setting.


This seems to be not uncommon.

Instructions (different Samsung set, but there is normally a lot of carryover) here for an alternative way of solving the problem.

Thanks very much for those links. I've given the instructions a go and the TV did behave as predicted. I am leaving the set on for an hour or so to see if it reverts again.
