We're just about to take the plunge for a homecinema and zone two setup and I had ben looking at reviews of the 683 floor standing speakers.

I had a listen today and thought hmmmmm, not bad. But they seemed to lack a little something. Had a listen to some CM7s which sounded a little choppy and at 88Db are a little hard to drive.

Then on a whim I said to the guy in the shop "what does the next range up sound like" thinking it would just be more expensive but a similar sound.

No such thing. I was blown away! These things are unbelievable! Really detailed sound a rich, deep bass note. It has certainly changed my outlook on things (and my budget unfortunately).

Anyone looking for some stereo or front and left HT speakers should definitely have a listen to these.

www.lyngdorf.com

DP-1s
BW-1s
TDAI220 True Digital Amplifier
SDAI1275 Slave

TDAI now has a HT bypass mode.

This setup will tick all the boxes on both a HiFi and HT basis.

You work hard, I think you owe it to yourself wink

When you're over you're welcome to swing by to demo the best mid-range 2 channel system you'll have heard... smile

Thank you, I do owe it to myself. Could you just convince the wife of that please?

I have the feeling that you may have raised the the bar from the CM9 system, dammit hehe.

Since you don't seem to be averse to a bit of work wink I sent you an email on your work address did you get it? If you can have a butchers and swap out what you suggest, I'm all ears.

Would definitely like to hear the stuff when I'm over. Is it in Cheltenham or Windsor?

I'm that confident, it'll even make Abba sound good wink

It's neither location, it's in between the two.

Yep, got mail, just making most of days currently for obvious reasons. Will respond when I get a minute.

Aaaaargggghhhh! God, not Abba, please! hehe

No worries, take your time but just one thing: Can I bring those things over with me? I'll be there this saturday until thursday and it would be convenient for me this time since I'm bringing the car over.
