Hi all,

I currently have one of these http://www.cyberselect.co.uk/product/1756 (mine is unbranded but it's the same box so I guess lots of companies sell it)

Inputs are Blu Ray, Sky HD, Xbox 360 and PC
Outputs are Projector in room 1 and LCD TV in room 2 over Cat 6 HDMI baluns

The matrix works very well on everything except the PC. When I set the PC to 1920 x 1080 resolution (1080p) both the projector and tv leave a large black margin around the edge of the screen even though they report the resolution being 1080p. If I run an HDMI cable directly between the PC and projector/TV, the borders are gone so the matrix appears to be the problem.

Has anyone worked with this type of matrix before and seen this kind of behaviour when using a PC? I'm willing to look at other products if there's something out there that'll do a better job but fixing the current product would be preferable (I've asked the supplier for assistance but haven't heard back yet)

Thanks

Ian

Its worth swapping over output 1 with output 2. I remember that the selected source will handshake with whatever screen is connected to output 1 for res info and other stuff then mirror this onto the second screen (assuming its the same). If the 2 screens are not the same then you can get funny issues.

It may be that the PC has it's underscan settings turned on. If it's an ATI card it's in the Catalyst Control Centre - Go to displays and then configure the output - there are then underscan settings (reduce it to 0). We had the same settings plugging my wife's PC into our Bravia recently.
