Replacing my Denon AVC-A1SR

My trusty and much loved Denon receiver has gone pop and I have been told by the repair company that parts are not available in the UK to fix it at a sensible i.e less than £300 cost. So I will need to look for a replacement.

I want something that is as "future proof" as possible, has both good stereo and 6 channel sound, is built well and costs less than £1500 ideally.

Does anyone know a good trustworthy repair company in Herts I could get a second opinion from before getting rid of the Denon?

Sell your current A1sr on ebay or such like. You may even get £300 for it.
