I am ready to upgrade my 40'' Samsung and wondered if any dealers offer a p/ex service?

Oh, and while I am here can anyone recommend a mid range 50'' LCD/Plasma. Budget is £800- £1000 plus whatever I get for the 40''.

A Samsung? No chance - they're giving them away, Samsung that is, so there's no money in it for a start.
Your best option is to sell it on here or ebay.
As for what to go to next - sit tight for a couple more months if you can, and look at the forthcoming Panasonics - 20 Series.
If that's not doable, then a current G10 (if you can find them) would be the order of the day.

No dealer would be interested in a used TV - there is no market for them. Private sale is your best bet.

Best 50" Would be the Samsung PS50B650 for the money For the money, as an all-rounder, it cant be beat.

Shame dealers trash Samsung Products, but then having said that, Sony and Pana get trashed too!

Paul get it on the bay, I got £300 for my 4year old 42lg Plasma

I then bought one on these it's very good and the screen is one flat panel no edge to the frame so looks great.

The new Pan 50X20 is pretty good for the cash.

Wait a few weeks until the Panasonics are in and being supplied properly.

50G20 would be about right.

thumbup thanks everyone.

I'll use ebay or PH to sell it, and as it's only 18 months old and immaculate I hope it will fetch a decent price.

You could try seling it on the 'Av forums' classified section. I sold my Pioneer KRP500A there a couple of months ago.

Other similar models to yours may have been sold there recently, enabling you to establish a market price. smile

Just flog it to the powers that be in PH towers! Can it be used as a screen in the marble lined reception area?

We do part ex on TV's (although not Samsung) so it is not always a no, you may want to try your local dealer. As for a 50" the G20 will be in stores this week - cant see anything better coming along for the price just yet.
