Afternoon all

My office is looking to host a world cup game for a few clients (c50). We have just discovered that we don't have an aerial on the roof and the only way to do this would appear to be via a portable aerial.

We have a 32 inch tv in the staff roomm using this and a digi box and the picture is excellent.

My question is, is this likely to change if we use a 42/50 inch TV and how could we use a projector to put this on a screen? One of the IT guys here said it would need a live stream??

Help!!!

If you have good picture on your TV then you have a good signal, it's digital so it either works or it doesn't. You can use the same Freeview box to run the projector, you will need to use the Scart connector with an AV adaptor. You will need a speaker system for audio, maybe a small hifi with an Aux input.

Your IT guy is talking tosh and obviously wants to wriggle out of having anything to do with this...I don't blame him!

You could use the 'Digi box' and connect the highest quality connector available to the projector: This could be HDMI>component>S-Video>Composite (in desending order of quality). However this depends on there being a good signal in the area you intend to put the digibox, so I'd check that out first with the 32" to see if the picture is stable (ie no blocking/stuttering). The picture quality might be a bit ropey if you end up using composite (the single usually yellow phono connection) and if the projector is a typical 'data' type model it might not 'do' motion very well, but it's probably bright enough which is the other issue you might have.
