connecting hd tv,bluray,freesat hd box to amp

Currrently got an hd tv,bluray player and freesat hd recorder.Tomorrow im buying a surround amp with speakers that has three hdmi inputs.Can anyone give me any advice as in the best way to connect it all up?Ta!

So thats two outs from the amp tou the tv.There is only one hdmi out on the amp?Sorry for being a bit dim,been out of the technology loop for a while!

No, just couldnt be arsed with the formatting.

The amp will switch the video as well as the audio, so you need 2 inputs and 1 output.

3 cables total.

Im managing to flick through the inputs on the amp and they are selecting no problem .When i go to 'tv' on the amp it doesnt show the normal tv,i take it i will have to run an out trom the tv to the amp?Theres an optical out on tv,no hdmi out or anything.

You should be able to use the optical out from the TV and assign it to the 'TV' input on the amp. To see the TV image, you just need to select the internal tuner rather than the AV/HDMI input I presume you're using now. In other words your TV is on the wrong input for watching regular TV, if that makes sense?
