I have just purchased off a friend a Logik flat screen TV and a Sony surround sound system.

Now I can play dvds on the Ss system and watch them through the TV but I can't figure out how to play the tv/ xbox sound through the SS. I can't find the manual so I was hoping someone on here might be able to help. The Tv and Ss are connected vis a Scart lead.

How many SCART connectors on the TV? Not all sockets send audio/video signals out. The sockets usually marked for DVD players are input only and those for video recorders are usually input and output.

There are 2 on the back as far as I can see but it doesn't seem to make a difference when I move between the two.

Have a look for a red/white phono pair on the back of the TV labelled Audio out or something similar. If its got one this needs connecting to one of the inputs on the amp.

You need to fond a way to get audio OUT from the TV to the SS.

Either red/White Phone or set one of the scarts to output. (or even digital out?)

Then wire that to the SS as a new input.

Doesn't have phono outputs, will have to have a play with the TV menus to look at scart options , couldn't find out from a brief look frown

If it's an 'out of the box' surround sound system, it may not have any extra inputs... That's one of the main reasons I went for separates.
