Due to buying a new tv to replace the old crt one, we are going to be having the V box changed to a V+ box this week.

Have been setting the new tv up and everything, but, obviously at the moment we don't know the dimensions of the V+ box, (need to know so we know where we can put the Xbox and such like)

Have googled it, but a lot of the numbers I am seeing are relating back to last year, and I know they change the boxes every now and then, so if there is anyone that has a fairly recent box, can you let me know the dimensions please, so that I know if it will fit in the allocated space, or if I need to do some shuffling around.

Many thanks

SC

Ours is 40cm wide x 28cm deep x 8cm high.

We've had it about 8 months so I'm not sure if its changed since then (it's the one in the pic below).

Bear in mind you'll need a bit of a gap at the back for all the wires to plug in.

Thank you, those were the dimensions I was getting from last year too, so it sounds pretty standard. Space at the back isn't a problem, the shelf is actually quite deep, it was just the width we didn't know (as it has to go on a shelf under the tv).

Many thanks for that.

Be sure to allow some space for ventilation.

Both the old (Scientific Atlanta) and the new (Samsung) V+ boxes run somewhat warm.

There is some space for that, as those dimensions were all that I could find, we were working to those numbers, so there is enough room for ventilation, cables and such like smile
