A mate is choosing between the above 2 TVs, and the detailed specs look all but identical, yet pricing seems to differ by around £200.

What is the main difference between the two screens (and is it worth the extra)?

Will John Lewis price match internet retailers (to get the 5-year warranty) and do you need to visit the store in person to obtain this price-match, or can you do this by phone?

Thanks

I have the V10 model (last years one effectively) and it has THX picture processing built into it. I also had the choice between the V10 and the other Panasonic models but after a good demo of the THX function in John Lewis with a BD60 Panasonic Blu-Ray player I decided to go with the V series.

Get along to a dealer who can do the same and see what your mate thinks.

The V series use the Kuro engine that was in the Pioneer.

It's the set to go for.

V all the way - not even worth fretting over the difference since he'll probably not change it for another 5 years or more.
