A Sky Insurance conspiracy...???
Discussion
Could be just a coincidence.... Sky have called me the last two evenings trying to sell me Box/Dish etc cover for £8 odd a month. I've said I'll think about it.
Since then, my Sky HD box has been seriously screwing around, freezing, not turning on, not turning off etc.... my cynical mind is telling me that Sky is`remotely messing around my system to frighten me into taking their insurance.
Am I paranoid or is it sheer coincidence?

My friend is an engineer for sky and told me the most cost effective way is for you to pay their callout fee then they will come out and have a look what the problem is, if your box is knackered they will give you a recon box with 12 months (I think) warranty, you could buy a box off ebay but realistically if that one dies you've got no comeback.
The insurance is silly expensive considering generally how reliable the equipment is (in my experience with normal, sky+ and sky+ HD boxes)
