Why are there no TV's selling with built-in PVR recorders? I assume there is a legal-ist reason?

Humax used to do a couple of LCD with a version of their 9200T built in. Don't seem to do them any more.

JVC also do one.

It just makes no sense to have all these amazing high end TV's for sale, and yet none combined with twin-tuner hdd pvr functionality. There must be a reason.

Plotters?

Why sell you one box when they can sell you two?

Plug any hard drive into the newer Panasonics and they become a PVR. Twin tuner too (Freesat and FreeviewHD) although you can't record two channels at once.

You can't switch between the two tuners either.. basic functionality at the mo, i wouldnt quite class them as a PVR yet.

My Samsung does this too.
