hello chaps.

I am in the market for an internet radio, I really don't know anything about tech stuff and would usually go to comet and ask the chap which would be best for me. I was about to do the same but a load of my mates told me that this year the best deals are in the online sales and only a mug would go to the shops. Thing is I have spent ages online looking and really cannot tell what is a good deql, what is not and I don't understand half the features despite trying to read up on them in articles. Am I wasting my time? If I will relly get a good deal I will persist.

Any suggestions as to sites to visit? Also if anyone has a suggestion as to a good one to get I would be grateful- looking to spend no morw than a couple of hundred quid for a wifi radio- as we have a basement kitchen a normql radio won't work there.

Thanks.

How about this:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Monitor-Audio-AIRSTREAM10-...

Don't have it myself but it looks nice and seems to score very highly in reviews.

I was just going to recommend the same thing!

I love the Monitor Audio stuff for the installs I do and the Airstream10 looks great, there were doing a special offer on it on the run up to Christmas.

Might check to see if it is still on and pick one up for myself.

I have a Logitech Squeezebox Radioh in the kitchen which I mostly use for wi-fi Radio, they also do the boom as stand alone or Touch if you want to add an amp and speakers. You can also access stuff like last.fm, napster and spotify.

The advantage here is that you can also if you want access all your music stored on your PC so can play albums or mixes. If you more than one box you can share music and synch it across 'zones' and have remote control via the PC or iphone app. You will need to run a sever app on the pc for this though.

Sonos also does the same but is more pricey.
