It means I am struggling to find any in stock anywhere with a 5 year warranty (I really want a S20 not a G20).
Aha, I see. Why do you want an S20 over a G20? I had a look on Google just now and there are loads and loads of places selling both S & G20's, many with 5 year warranties.Edited by JumboBeef on Monday 10th January 12:30

Whereabouts are you? CostCo in Enfield had them in stock before Xmas, for low price and 5 year warranty.

I love Panasonic, but after my S20 going bang after two months and now it seems that the S20 and G20 are now end of line, I am considering an LG.
What can I buy for around £600? I generally watch dramas and films in HD (Sky) and it must be 42" at least.
Thanks.
I awlays wanted to like LG, however about 3 years ago or so I was working for a firm that moved offices, in this move they brought all new TV's. Several hundred, ranging from smaller 2x" to over 50".What can I buy for around £600? I generally watch dramas and films in HD (Sky) and it must be 42" at least.
Thanks.
When I left the company over half of them (various models and screen sizes) had been replaced due to faults. Some had been replaced or repaired 2 or 3 times.
On this first hand evidence I personally would not buy an LG.

I recently bought an LG 50 PK590 for playing games on. I am new to the brand, having previously had fairly high end toys in my games room. It was bought for £649 from Richer Sounds as an alternative to running my costly projector which was being used for TV as well as film. I am very impressed with it so far. I bought the 5 year warranty for £64 too as if they cannot repair it, they replace it like for like. What can I buy for around £600? The TV has digital HDfreeview on board too and it features THX certification on film mode all as standard. The same spec Panny would have cost be about a £1200 so I thought I would give it a whirl. Having always owned Matsusta products over the last 25 years it has a lot to prove. I am hoping that this will live up to the test of time and so far, so good. It's my fourth plasma, all the others have been from Panasonic
