Hi,

I've got a small but annoying issue with my Sony LCD tv.

Basically it is connected direct to a sky hd 1tb box by an hdmi lead. The problem is that the tv occasionally goes black for a couple of seconds and comes up with the 1080p symbol, then goes back to normal. It's really annoying!

It seems to be resyncing with the sky box? Is there any settings I can change to stop it happening?

Cheers in advance.

Sounds like a handshaking issue, normal cause is a dodgy HDMI lead specifically if its the one that came with the box. Just dont go paying stupid amouts for one, sub 3k should be ok with a sky box wink

Yeh some retailers try to get you to spend mega buck on HDMI's, but on a 1m lead you need to be spending less than £20.
If it was a poor quality lead then it is possible it could break over time if the cable got bent in a way it dosent like or got trapped and pinched, its also possible the either the TV or sky box is faulty, but the lead is the cheapest option to try first.
