My Samsung tv has broken and I'm considering upgrading to a new 3d tv. Popped into my local Sony centre and they had a large 55" 3d tv set up which was very impressive with the 3 d images. What I'd like to know is should I wait a few months and see what's new coming onto the market for 2011 or is there a particular tv make I should be looking at ?

I'm after something between 40inch to 46 inch if that helps

Thx

Later is always going to be better. New technology for 3d is always coming out, and I wouldn't want to get lumbered with something obsolete that I'd spent loads of money on.

Im in the same boat, at the mo (going by reviews and checking them out back to back)narrowed it down to the Panasonic 42VT20 or the Sony 40LX903. Loads of places have their "january offers" on but I might wait till Feb/March to see if they go down another few hundred quid due to newer models coming out.

The Panny about £1500 at the mo with blue ray player chucked in, Sony about £1300 inc 5 yr warranty. My guess is they can only come down..

Panna do a GT20 also wich is also well worth a look, ive had a good look at the Sony 3D and tbh I wasnt too impressed especially when I found on some of them you have to plug in an extra module and have a trailing wire to the front of the TV.

If you can wait a few months, then personally, I would - new Panny 30 Series to be revealed soonish.
VT20 is the boy though, but am curious as to what the GT30 offers, and likewise the VT30.
