You realy need to be on www.avforums.com for some awsome HC setups but be very careful this is a slippery slope you are getting on!

Can't see very much as we are just getting started, and the budget was completely blown on the projector (Sim2 Mico60).

Thoughts so far are......wow. The picture envelopes you so much that you forget about the budget sound. Speakers are less than 5% of the projector, and yes the centre speaker is sitting on a cardboard box!

Wow, lovely. Now, while you're saving up for some better speakers, treat yourself to a tin of dark paint and get rid of those light coloured walls and celing...otherwise you may as well have bought an AE4000. wink You wouldn't believe the difference it made to my lowly HD350 (tripled the offscreen ANSI contrast).

Already planning on repainting, as well as getting some more suitable curtains.

Even with the light walls it is like watching a giant plasma tv, amazing picture.

I can't wait until the day I can afford an LED projector...it's getting very boring havign to recalibrate mine as the lamp changes (seemingly overnight) and keep opening up the iris a click every now and then to maintain brightness.

I'm not in the least bit jealous. wink

awesome setup bullet !

Thanks, I'm pretty happy with it.

I'd love a dedicated room with a more high end system but this will do for now.
Slippery slope indeed...

Not got pics of mine, but if you have a spare room for a dedicated home cinema set up it's well worth it. Currently we have a 50" G20, Bluray player and 5.1 surround. When I get off my arse I'm picking up a nice Pioneer 7.1 system cloud9

Movies never looked/sounded so good. smile

I have the Optoma HD20 and pretty happy with it. I can imagine for the price of your projector, you must get amazing clarity and blacks?

No spare room, that's the problem and the old Porsche is in the garage.
I really liked this house as a couple but with kids not so good. That room is the only living space, all the bedrooms are occupied and the box room is my office.

What really annoys me is my BIL is probably getting a house with a cinema room already built.

Yes that's got to smart. Is the equipment being left behind?

No idea, but it was being advertised as a cinema room so I'd hope so.

If not I can help him spend some more money....

My little lounge set up

Following a burgulary the TV has now been swapped to a slightly different 50"

Space is at a premium hence the TV mounted above one of the sofa (only used if we have people over) and during the summer we move that sofa so it's in front of the radiator anyway.

Bedroom is nearly finished (just waiting for the carpet) but i'm considering an additional amp and some some ceiling mounted speakers.
