On the food side of things don't worry about that we can just arrive and order on the day. The lunch menu is full of a variety of delicious, local and freshly prepared meals. Also there is the Cafe bar and last year food stands outside, just go in early after you have parked up. You will not get a much better setting to display the cars than the Pavillion Gardens, and they can accommodate the amount of cars expected to arrive and in our own private area. This is not a public car park and we have secured special permission to display the cars here.
Yes it looks like a nice place to stopEdited by KEVTVR on Friday 31st July 13:26
Just some useful information for the run.
1. Please don't forget those many blind bends in The Peak District, approach them thinking " What if " Keep a safe distance and a safe speed to allow you to stop if there is a problem around the bend. That stationary queue around the corner will be your friends in their TVR's.....!
2. We need to Start at 10:30am so please try to arrive in good time. If you miss the start you will still be able to catch us up due to the designated re-group stops.
3. We have 2 re-group stops in the morning, the 1st at Castleton will be a break and photo opportunity. The 2nd stop will just be a brief catch up for those at the back. This will be after we turn left at the traffic lights in Whaley Bridge towards Long Hill and Buxton. This will only be for about 10 minutes maximum.
4. Don't worry if you see lots of TVR's coming the other way. The route has some turn points to allow you to see all the other cars on the run ( good for the videos and photos )
5. The lunch stop at the Pavillion Gardens is in a pedestrian tourist area. Please drive and park carefully through here. Be patient at the back it will take a little time to get everyone parked. We have special permission to be in this area.
6. If you are eating in the Pavillion Café please go in asap and order your food. We have reserved seating in there for about 40. Look for the large TVR flag and the small Union Jack flags on the table for our area.
7. We need to leave here before 2pm due to a band playing at the bandstand, I don't think they would appreciate the noise of about 30 TVR's starting up while they are playing.
8. Due to the many traffic light leaving Buxton we will inevitably get split up. Follow the A52 Ashbourne signs out of Buxton and we will re-group near the Esso/Tesco petrol station. This will be about a 5 to 10 minute wait just for those at the back.
9. We have one more designated re-group in the afternoon and this is just before Matlock Bath. It is a great sight for the many tourists if we go through here as one big group. The re-group point can be a bit tricky to get everyone turned around but well worth the effort, please be patient as we get all the cars together for this.
10. Please try and make it to the finish point at the Monsal Head, one of the most photographed views in the Peak District and a great beer. They have a very small carpark at the front and a very large one at the rear and also an overspill carpark at the rear.
11. If any one gets lost look for the purple TVR arrows all along the route.
Have a great day.....

Just spotted this... can't make it, but hopefully you don't mind if I "borrow" the route as I am staying up that way for a week from the 11/8 ...... will be in the old jeep, so can I can just throw crap in it and abuse it (bikes/boots/mud/wet weather gear) .... but looks like a cracking drive regardless......
May have to have another weekend up there in the Tiv... or convince my mates to take my crap up next week

Hi John would be great if you can make it, and Hoover please use the route. The route has been planned to take in some of the best of the Peak District scenery, and allow some quicker !!! driving over the moors. And take us through some of the tourist towns such as Matlock Bath to allow the public to have a good look and photo opportunity. It will be quite slow through Matlock but that is the plan, to re-group before and go through in one long line like a parade lap. And we have our own display parking area in one of the best locations at lunch time.
