Hope to see you there - MGF? or daily doo dah?
I will most likely be the scruffy pale blue TVR Chimaera parked in the public car park, as mine is in desperate need of a re-spray and so i cannot bear it to be in the display area.
Respray is booked a week later, unfortunately.
At least I stand a fighting chance of it being on the road - engine went back in yesterday, MOT this afternoon, everything crossed.
Fingers crossed for you. Had hoped to have the wheels off the F to clean and check the hand brake levers on the rear calipers but had to cut the field instead............................ Ye Olde Dragons orders.I will most likely be the scruffy pale blue TVR Chimaera parked in the public car park, as mine is in desperate need of a re-spray and so i cannot bear it to be in the display area.

Oh, and I collected the car from Mat Smith this afternoon. Well pleased, he's nothing short of brilliant.

Auto Andy and my friend Alun are persuading me to park on display (and hope the earth swallows me up). Andy is right, I do drive it - 33,000 miles in 5 years, including 30 track days. I suppose I can lock it and wander off, leaving a mobile number for anyone who wants to locate me. At least the chassis and engine look ok, but that's all.

PS don't panic - for reasons I don't understand, Burghley have never yet listed our show on their website,
Seem to be on there now!http://www.burghley.co.uk/events/tvr-car-club-burg...
Well sod has struck ....................................... N/S/R brake caliper is sticking .......................................... so unless I can clean it and free it up early in the morning will have to drive the daily driver (Rove 75 diesel) to Burghley rather than the MGF to meet folks and talk TVR's.

Yes indeed I did meet quite a few and picked a few brains. Did indeed get the brake freed off only to her her suddenly spit out all her coolant!! Weird as none of the usual signs of HGF so will have to check the coolant hoses and jiggle valve. If they all prove to be OK then am not sure what it would be.We had a great day yesterday! Thank you to all responsible for organising and to Ollie for a very enjoyable run in.
