TVR Pre 80s Extravaganza 2017 Celebrating 70 years

Well Only 3 Months to go to the Pre 80s and this year being the 70th Anniversary its even more special.
Sunday the 3rd of September.
In the 70s a group of TVRCC Members started and organised the Original Blackpool Extravaganzas and its rather appropriate but a coincidence that when Geoff Started the Pre 80s Event which we enjoy each year that the Extravaganza Name continues on from the later years and era our wonderful cars come from.
This logo for the event is special in various ways as John Bailey has designed it, for those that may not know John is one of the Longest serving members of the Club Membership Number30 and also was one of the Organisers for the Original Blackpool Extravaganzas in the 70s he also is responsible for much of the Graphic work both on the Cars in the 70s and other TVR literature.
So a Big Thank You John.
Remember although this event is a Celebration of cars built before 1980 its not just for there owners and Friends but all TVR owners who not only Love the Cars but the Friendships and events that go to make the Club a Fantastic one to be a member of.
Anyone who has never attended the Pre 80s event are in for a real delight as they see the various Models that superseded there particular Model.
As an added Bonus the TVRCC are organizing a TVRCC Members Track Day at Cadwell the Following Day so many will be heading over to see what there driving abilities are Cars are great but many of us are unable to fulfill there full potential so even if like me you have little track experience this Day will have three different ability groups and also instructors should like me you need some help.
We have reserved Rooms at the Donnington Manor Hotel so those who want to come up the Saturday Night we will be having a dinner together.
There will be some special guests with us over the weekend and other things are i the organise stage will keep you posted.
If you want to reserve a room mention you are attending the Pre 80s Event and you will get the special rate they have given us.

Thanks to our sponsors we have lots of special things this year.
One thing is a special edition 30 page retro edition of the TVRCC Sprint Magazine done in the spirit of the old 70s and 80s editions.
It went off to the printers today lots of special features and exclusive pictures from 1964 at Hoo Hill that have never been seen before plus others thanks to all who worked hard on this and putting up with my nagging for features.

Well only a few weeks to go for The Event at Donington Yes Donington i had a phone call today frome someone who thought it was a Gaydon again ???
Following the advert in Sprint another couple of special guests who played important parts at the Factory during the 70s saw the event and called asking if they could attend which is very special looking forward to meeting new people and seeing some stunning restorations.
We where given a sneak preview of one owners rather under the radar restoration of a beautiful V6 Tuscan i nearly wet my pants its stunning.
Most items have arrived event the Car Stickers which is a first for this event.
