Just bringing this back to the top, and also adding that my good friend Nigel is coming along to watch.

He has always loved my TVR and services many similar cars (Cobras come to mind, plus many classics. So if you see him in his 1960 Humber Hawk (the one with the 5 litre Ford engine under the bonnet) do please make him welcome. He was running 9s on the drag strip back in the day in his Vauxhall Victor and has petrol in his veins. The nearest he has got to TVR ownership is this:

The 3.9 RV8 is currently out of the car and being replaced with a 4.6...........

I have never been to Cadwell and so I thought I would see what all the fuss is about.

I have just booked a place and the Brackenborough Hotel too.

Hopefully see you all there.

Travelling from Berkshire but going up on Monday and staying overnight at the Brakenborough Hotel.

When I was a teenager we lived near Grimsby so Cadwell was my local track but I've not visited in some 45 years(!) and I've never driven it so this might be quite nostalgic. It doesn't look to have changed much sine I was last there! My brother has a Chimera and suggested we both have a go. I, on the other hand, have a black Boxster but please don't think too badly of me!

Southerner yes, but heading up after work on Monday. Whilst I love driving, the journey from London to Cadwell, a day on track and the journey back is quite a lot in one day. Hence a night in the Black Horse.

All loaded up and ready for Tuesday.....i’d love to say I was over-excited about the day, and I am, but the honest reason is that the forecast here for Monday is 95% rain.......so I sorted everything out today.

Blimey. Now I'm beginning to feel a bit inadequate!

No need - I only use a trailer because I do track days regularly, and I like to take tools and extra sets of tyres with me, and have the ability to get it home if it gets pear shaped.

Harnesses - just a matter of safety and I had them sitting in the man cave.

Weather's looking quite hopeful now so I thought I would pop these in the car just in case it drys up in the afternoon.

Got my 888s in the car too. And an impact driver if you want to borrow it. I am 40 mikes from the track and it’s brightening up here.

Ruddy Apple autocorrect......apparently the Americans think that 1760 yards is a mike.
440 yards is a Kevin, and 880 yards is a Fred. I give up........

Yup, good day for almost all of us, especially after it dried up for the afternoon. Perfect manners, no red flags all day. Tried some new track tyres on my Chimaera....awesome grip.
Shame about the crash - I do hope they can resolve it amicably.

Good day yesterday, well done to the organisers a very well run track day and a good turnout considering the weather forecast. Good to see a few old face's and meet some new ones, see you at the next one.

Had a fantastic day. Really need some better seats in the Chimaera if I do any more of these, which I fully intend to.
