No Noise Limit Track Day @ Rockingham Raceway 24/AUG/18
Discussion
Bring your helmet anyway......anyone can have passenger rides as long as they can find one of the many brown-paper-bag-equipped cars out there. You will just need to sign in, get a wrist band, and pay the fee in cash. It’s normally in the region of £10-20 for the entire day, regardless of the number of rides, cannot remember what it is this time. Someone will know.
The great thing about Rockingham for spectators is that you can watch the event from the stands, and you can see the entire circuit from the top of the stand opposite the start finish straight. You can also pass freely between stands and pits, even though the pits are in the centre of the circuit, as there are both car (for participants) and pedestrian tunnels under the speedway oval part of the track.

The fee is for temporary club membership if you are already a TVRCC all you need to do is signed in and find a spare seatThe great thing about Rockingham for spectators is that you can watch the event from the stands, and you can see the entire circuit from the top of the stand opposite the start finish straight. Anyone confirm which circuit layout will be used ?
Thx , looking forward to it .
Have fun
Matt
PS Would be good if there was a noise meter 'testing station ' available (ie man with noise meter on a 'regulation pole / distance) here , so we could check how noisy our cars are ...and how they certainly wouldn't be suitable for many sound restricted tracks ...

Folks I'm out of this one I'm afraid. A whole series of little issues I've been juggling decided to amalgamate into one big first world problem that had to be resolved at the first opportunity.
As such my place is open to anyone who wants to take it off me for £100 and I'll sort out any admin with the Club Office who are aware of my non attendance.
Have a great day one and all and I'll try to get to the next one

Well, guys, this will be your one and only chance to enjoy Rockingham it seems. That’s if you believe what you read on Faceache. The track has been sold to a car auction company for storage (it has a humongous car park) and will close from 31 December.
The site is contaminated land from the days when we made steel in Corby, and cannot be used for housing, but it seems not to be making ends meet as a race venue. So let’s give it a good final hurrah.

I had decided to come along and watch as I'm not really a fan of the circuit but perhaps I should give it another go if it might disappear. The site is contaminated land from the days when we made steel in Corby, and cannot be used for housing, but it seems not to be making ends meet as a race venue.
