Never done Croft so am going to book it as a BD pressie to me.

There's a 'cheap' day at Oulton Park and Snetterton in November that I'll likely book.

Arrived late but arrived in force, good luck missing this thing in the paddock.

Go to the cafe, next to the track.
If nobody official there, go outside again and look down to the collecting area.
There is an office there on the left - you will always find someone there who will know.
See you tomorrow - I'm in the odd coloured Chimaera.
Cheers smile

Well, that was fun! Perfect weather, lunch moved forwards so we could have a four hour open pit lane afternoon. Lots of great cars on track, fast and nearly fast. I have few pics, but more must be out there. A couple of breakdowns, Trev4, jubilant at getting on at the last minute, split a power steering hose, but managed to fix it by substituting a slim socket for the broken hose. Well done, Trev.

Phazed broke a throttle cable, but had a spare. Those yoga classes came in useful at last.......

Mat Smith turned up with his race car and pricedded to take Coppice in fourth with the shift light on......I make that 125 mph.... yikes Must have Araldite on those tyres.

And there was a rare and lovely Zenos.......quick, but I did manage to catch it on track.

Thanks organisers......great day..

PS condolences to the Tamora owner who arrived the previous evening......

Great day, well morning for me. Many thanks to all the Tvr community for the help and support with my little problem. A special mention for Ian who kindly popped down the garage and got some power steering fluid for me and Liam who supplied a couple of jubilee clips from his impressive store of spare parts. I made it home without any further dramas so I can recommend a long 8mm socket as the perfect item to sleeve a split power steering pipe. Top bodge. laugh

That Tamora incident looks horrific- condolences to the owners - we did wonder what had happened!!

That Chimaera race car was the fastest thing there today - insanely rapid.

What a great day it was - cheers to TVRCC for putting in on - really enjoyed it again, still is and always has been one of the best car days on the calendar- already looking forward to next year.

Hope the TVR gang didn’t mind the Lotus interlopers- we all really enjoyed it

Great to see them apart from the idiot who was overtaking some of us on a the wrong side and in the braking zone.

What a dick.

Good day, great track. Someone tell me I wasn't the only person keeping the gas on over the mountain just for fun?

Reckless? Moi? whistle

Had a great game of cat and mouse with the mighty 280k T350, stunning car stunningly driven. Just about had the edge but had to work for it, the way it should be. But we won't mention the 100+hp power difference wink

Gutted to see the Tamora go up, we tried to get on top of it but I think the story was written as soon as the flames started. Emptied a couple of extinguishers to no avail and then had to watch helplessly, heartbreaking. Not 100% on cause but it looks to be another sharp reminder to keep on top of those fuel lines. Also a rude awakening for me, thinking I'm sorted with my little handheld in the car. Did absolutely fk all despite catching it moderately early. The only solution, is prevention!

ETA: he won't thank me for it but that picture of Peter is class hehe

Good to put faces to names, and dribble on your lovely cars smile

Just to put this straight, it wasn’t a guy in the Lotus but one of those Vauxhall Elise looky likeys.

Last moan, why are there so many people who think just because they are in a fast car, won’t move over to let others past.

I was behind a blue Cerb , Lap after lap after lap and he would not move over. It was obvious I was faster than him as was Ian in his Griff who gave up in the end. Bad show and a very, very frustrating!

To the guy in the V6 Exige, what a great car and a great drive by yourself. A really formidable combination. Other great drivers are available and out there!

The Tamora was more likely a battery shorting out......Mat Smith offered this suggestion and is probably right - he usually is. So make sure your battery terminals are covered guys.

Very unfortunate for the Tam owner. Apparently it was one of the last cars ever made and extremely low mileage. I don't know if it is gossip but someone said that there was something dripping from the underside when it was unloaded from the trailer, quite possibly. Gave me a shock as I have just turned in, in the motorhome about 60 foot away. Immaterial as the car can never be replaced.

Otherwise, a great day, great driving, great track and brilliant weather.

Always good to see the regular motley crew who are all good guys!, Anthony, Anthony, Trevor, Stewart, Paul, Ian and Matthew and anyone else I missed. Good to meet others as well, especially canoe sniffer, (Mike) and he is in enormous truck!

It's strange why a huge proportion of TVR trackdayers own chims and most are highly modified. Definitely the fastest cars out there.

Anthony, (QBee) was very much on it and his knowledge of the track especially made him extremely fast which I found on that day impossible to stay with him. Good job!

My car with its new clutch fitted and revised pipework back to standard proved super reliable as always, ha ha apart from the throttle cable that snapped which resulted in me being towed off by the recovery truck! Oh, the embarrassment! Of course that resulted in the session been red flagged for safety, sorry guys.

Matthew was riding shotgun during one outing when we had a bit of a moment just after I said "I think I'll have a cool down lap now after Hall Bends ". Famous last words, switched off the concentration a tad and on the third bend lost the backend, locked the brakes and slid across the track until I slowed to about 20 mph, released the brakes and carried on. Don't you just love the lack of anti lock brakes!

Hi Peter

Not sure who the Vauxhall VX guy was, not with our lot - must admit I hadn’t seen him until very late in the day.

I also got stuck behind a blue Cerb that wouldn’t move over lap after lap, gave up & came in - then got told off for driving too close - go figure that one out ??!!!! ( I was driving a mates BMW at the time - maybe that was the problem biggrin )

Was me in the V6 Exige - cheers - thought your Chim was going rather well too sir.

Great day (again).
Sadly another bit of a moan about fast straight liners not allowing cars clearly faster over a lap to pass.
Be interesting to see what some of the guys in the novice group thought of the open pit lane in the afternoon.

I had a fantastic day,it was great to catch up with old faces and new ones ..
I had intended on bringing my little S but needed time in the Chimaera to sort out some handling problems and bed set of brakes in later in the day ready
for next weeks outing at American speed fest at Brands Hatch !

I was very impressed by the standard of driving on track, I found every one to be very courteous, i tried very hard not to intimidate or hassle any one
and will apologies now if anyone felt I did ....

Will be back next year (if they do it again ) but in my little S....

I'm the S that broke down infront of the restaurant. I was having a great day until then. Thank you everyone that helped especially the owner of the white S1. So far traced the fault the the fuel pump relay or wiring of. If anyone knows where a S3 fuel pump relay is located it would be appreciated

Thanks to the TVR club and organisers and fellow TVR owners for a brilliant day.
Great bunch of lads. Great weather. Great cars.
This was my first time at the Cadwell Park circuit and I completed 114 miles around the track and didn't want to stop. I need to bring additional fuel next time.
Awesome track

I sure my Griff was smiling all the way home. Me too.
