Here's another event for this month...

Sywell Classic: Pistons and Props motoring festival. It runs over Saturday and Sunday 21st & 22nd September. How many are interested in going and on what day?

This Sunday is the 1st of the month so there will be the usual meeting at the Red Lion.

A couple of us have tickets for Bicester but the weather forecast at the moment is for rain so it may be a case of wait and see.

Bicester was excellent today so I think this is a "must do" event for next year. I'll keep in contact with the Oxford region and sort out some dates. Watch this space thumbup

This coming Sunday is the first of the month and we'll be meeting at the Red Lion as usual.

Have you see Alex's email about the visit to the de-Havilland museum outside St Albans on the Nov. 9th. If not let me know and I'll send a copy on.

I'm looking into organising a visit to Trenchard Museum sometime next year. Please let me know if you're interested.

See you Sunday thumbup

This coming Sunday is the first of the month (and the 1st December to boot :-)) so we'll be meeting at the Red Lion as usual.

The first Sunday in January is the 5th. Hopefully this is long enough after the New Year break to be convenient for everyone but let me know what you think on Sunday.

See you Sunday thumbup

There was a suggestion at last weeks meeting to go to the Sunday Scramble at Bicester on the first Sunday of January (the 5th) instead of the usual meet at the Red Lion.

I've checked and there's no "official" TVR prescence at this one but it could still be a good way yo kick off the New Year if the weather is fine.

Details HERE

We don't want anyone turning up at either the Red Lion or Biscester and being the only one there so can you post up here which one you'd prefer to go to please.

Thanks.

Have a great Christmas everyone xmasbeer

Hi All
Just a quick reminder that next Sunday (that's the 2nd February) is the first Sunday of the month and we'll be meeting at the Red Lion as normal.

It seems the Red Lion no longer want our custom so we are changing venue. Until a better option comes up we are going "back to our roots" and the next meeting (1st March) will be at the Crow's Nest near Tring. More details HERE. As you can see, it's a Beefeater so there's a good choice of food, the coffee is a million times better than the tar they served in the Red Lion, the car park is ideal and Aaron the boss is very happy for us to be there. So far then lot's of boxed ticked but we'll need to be sure everyone is happy.

Another proposed change: I need to know whether this PH thread is still the best place to post up announcements.

I've set up a Facebook Group which you can view here... https://www.facebook.com/groups/182998839586235/

It's a closed group so if you can't see it then please PM me your email address and I'll send you an invitation.

Have a look at the events tab and see what you reckon. None of these are set in stone and we can discuss at the next meeting.

Personally I hate Facebook with a passion but if that's the easiest way for the Group to communicate then I'm very happy to maintain the TVRCC-Bucks Group pages. The FB Group has a number of advantages over PH, some of which you'll see on the "Events" tab, but I know not everyone likes it.

Please have a think about it and let me know at our next meeting on 1st March - at the Crows Nest thumbup

Hi Joe
I too dislike the idea of moving to FB but so much seems to happen there that I fear we will have to move with the times and embrace it.
Hope to see you up at Crow's Nest in March but I expect it will be very busy for eating up there as Beefeaters are very popular with families for Sunday lunch. Probably fine in the summer as there are plenty of tables outside. At least we'll be able to park round the back as there's usually plenty of room.

Cheers

Nick

There doesn't seem to be much enthusiasm for FB. No one has asked to join the FB Group so far.

Bicester Super Scramble on the 26th April.

Discounted booking is now open...

http://bicesterheritage.co.uk/tickets/april-scramb...

he discounted price is well worth having but you'll need to book before 28th February.

I won't know until the end of next week whether the Oxford Group are booking a Club parking slot so you can hold off until then or go ahead and book anyway. Bear in mind though that these events do sell out pretty quiclkly.

Note they say that "Classic" is pre-1990 so remember that when you're typing in the year of registration thumbup

The Oxford Group has made a club booking for the parc ferme so if you haven't booked already use the code TREVOR on the booking screen.

If you'd already booked prior to getting the code but would still like to be in the "parc ferme" just 'phone the office at Bicester and they will make the change 01869 327 928.
