How many 200 ? 300? 400? ... doesn't look many to me .
Plus the obligatory female with a push chair to run down the side of your car biggrin
How many do you want / expect?! confused
51 ? More than I expected , about the same number that used to attend Blackpool club meetings every month. A long way off the record at Rockingham at the 60th or the 750 at Chatsworth each year.

Glow Worm....... this is NOT a willie waving contest

Obviously TVRCC has MANY more members and some of their gatherings have lots more than 51 turn out.

However BLACKPOOL THUNDER are a growing group of TVR enthusiasts, bringing the marque to the public.

Note that I am a member of TVRCC and not Blackpool Thunder, but I appreciate what they are doing.

Congratulations Glowworm, you must have done a lot of work to arrange the 60th celebration and chatsworth. Kudos to you, take a big bow clap

As a member of both clubs I think it’s a poor show that the TVRCC didn’t organise anything for the 75th anniversary and removed any reference to this weekends events from their forum even though it was open to everyone.

It’s about celebrating the Marque, not the clubs.

So what’s the point of your posts? Belittling some folks for organising a meet that didn’t your expectations of attendee numbers.

I have nothing to do with the organisation of any car events but I can see why people get frustrated when they do that’s to folks sniping at them.

I don't understand how you interpret my posts as belittling Howard or any of the organisers of the event. My remarks are more indicative of the general reduction in the support of such events . I assume the previous Deputy Editor of SPRINT , like myself , is no longer a member of the TVRCC.

I thought this was really well put together. Well organised, a great mix of cars, some cracking owners and a lot of love from the locals. Well worth the drive over, thanks!

What a great weekend! A big thank you to the organisers and a number of ex-TVR employees who really made it a friendly, welcoming and memorable event. Also really great to meet a number of PH and FB members that I'd corresponded with before, but never met in person.

The three highlights for me though were meeting Martin Lilley for the first time on Saturday, receiving the Concours Winners prize from him and being part of ~50 TVR's leading the carnival procession on Sunday. The response from the people watching was amazing.

Also went to the top of Blackpool Tower for the first time wink

Pretty sure Chatsworth was organised by my pal Kev Dunnington of the South Yorkshire TVRCC

I'm also sorry that I took your post as belittling. Were you showing the TVRCC season opener as something for Blackpool Thunder to strive to match?

Another poster here really pleased with how the event turned out. A thorough and sincere thanks to the Blackpool Thunder team for organising the event, I hope to attend many more similar events in the future. Also thorough thanks to all the other owners who arrived and made the event very special.

It was a good weekend, hats off to Howard. From the above posts even though it was open to all some declined.

Joe public were very respectful of the cars. There’s a few dozen families now with pictures of their kids sitting in my car… hopefully help to inspire a few to be the next generation of pistonheads smile

porterpainter had sticky mits all over his car inside & out. The kids loved it.

Its a TVR event not a club event. Blackpool council failed to put up posters & inform the public.
I was surprised by the comment from the public who said they had no idea the cars where built in Blackpool.
At Bristol Avenue the council tip gestapo said what all this. I told him TVRs built here. Where, right there, he had no idea.
We need to promote the cars more.

Nice sunny weather, great cars!

Good to see that still something is left at the factory site.

However, with regard of that „for sale“ sign, I am afraid that that might the buildingd not stand forever.

I think that sign is for the units for sale a little further down the street (where the main factory entrance was). Hopefully those companies left (Lawfields and DC trim) are safe for now.
