My cooling issue. Last Friday afternoon was actually a water leak from the plastic hose junction housing that bolts on the end of the cylinder head. After a bit of research, these are prone to warping and are a regular replacement item apparently! A guy from the Skoda forum kindly sent me a link to a company that makes a kit of about four of the plastic housings in cast aluminium for a bargain price of less than 50 quid!
That’s what I like about this car, everything is cheap. When I boosted power, I fitted a solid flywheel which someone gave me and used the diesel clutch as it was stronger. The list goes on, but I track prepared the car, including suspension, quick rack and boosting for about £1500, bargain.
