Its about time we now now about the wedge fest ive been looking forward to hearing about any plans, the place sounds great and the distance for us up in scotland will be a little less to travel this year but that wouldnt stop me from coming.

Nowhere. Been peeping every once in a while but it looked like you were all managing without me

The one chance I had to get a wedge banter fix last year was a trip to St Athan airbase near Cardiff; Jeff Morgan was trying to put together a welcoming committee but at the 11th hour my chief rescheduled me elsewhere (Portsmouth naval base as I recall ).
Meanwhile I was putting in miles on the ST1300; a trip to southwest France in July was most pleasant, even managed to find room to bring back some fine cognac. In the last two years I've done about 20K on the bike and about 800 in the 390SE of which 500 was BBWF '07.
Myself and a couple of mates joined a banger rally to Rome in September; it was somehow less exciting than we'd hoped. There were some total bumholes on it, that didn't help much.

The wedge is looking its age now; never did finish repairing the damage from BBWF 06 (or was it 05) when I backed into a forecourt bin. Meanwhile the wheels are shabby, the lefthand header cracked and had to come off for rewelding and the PAS rack sprang another leak that necessitated a rebuild to change an O-ring. Again. I'm too old for this sh!t.
On the plus side I've almost finished fitting the cruise control that I started in 06
I was offered a set of SE wheels but I think the owner wanted more than I wanted to pay so I didn't insult him (he defected to a Griff!). Also I see that Patrick's SEAC is back in the picture. He offered me it a couple of years back but I turned him down... not because of the work it needed (and that probably hasn't been done since, despite the asking price last time I saw it) but because I'd just sold the Esprit and bought a bike, so to take on another car would have been contrary to my rationale for selling the Lotus (which I hope is still in good hands).

I hear there's another 390SE in Stockton, a black 'D' reg one. My mate reports that it's been jacked up on both sides over the last few months so it sounds like another chassis victim.
I've had numerous emails through my website over the last year or so from places as far afield as Aussie; thanks also to those on here who link to my articles on Wedgeneering and Wedgepages!
