Who mentioned anything political, all I suggested is that a list of events should be a list.

As I said on the other threads the bottom line of this thread was that 84% of the member who voted wanted the new forum, so out of respect HM set it up.

However, in saying that it was only the percentage of the people that bothered to vote.

Why not set it up as a calendar wiki, linking to the thread with the detail.
It works for us in TV & S. Have a look here to get an idea:

Like that Blues. Good idea. As I said above, the problem is catching the attention of those not really looking to do something. But if something local is happening and advertised in amongst the general section then it captures their attention. SO, yes the TVR events forum is a great idea, but would prob be best as a summary/shortcut to threads posted elsewhere.
