Details are now available for PPC's Open Day in March here

http://www.tvrcc-eastmidlands.co.uk/content/docs/n...

That's four weeks on Saturday! I was great day last year and Paul and Jill would be delighted to see as many TVR and other sports car owners as possible. Everyone is welcome!

Pictures of last year's open day are here

Just spoken to Jill at PPC regarding this Saturday. Besides the previously advertised attractions:

Free chassis inspection,
Prize draw for £50 vouchers for work at PPC,
Scalextric TVR racing,
AAI display of ICE, phone a security stuff.
Display by Carizma Bodyshop
Plenty of food and drink
etc, etc.

we can now report there should also be the following:

Tim from ACT showing their performance products http://www.actproducts.co.uk/index.php

Neil from Everyman Motor Racing to talk about driving experience days. http://www.everymanracing.co.uk/index.htm

Formula Vauxhall Lotus single seater racing car.

Weather forecast for Saturday is 10 degrees and sunny smile

Looks like it should be great day.

I spent time with Paul on Tue in the workshop (my Griff is ready to to be taxed from April 1st after loads of work done and will be the silver ONE parked outside, minus the dust cover for a change.)
In addition to everything else and the friendly atmosphere, I think it is now confirmed that the last ever built TVR ???? (not a Griff) will be there. It's certainly worth a trip.

Thanks to everyone for coming along today. Fantastic turnout.

A big thank you to Paul, Jill and their family for putting on a great day.

I've counted all the cars from the photos (I know I'm sad!), here are the totals

1x Sagaris
2x T350
3x Tamora
13x Tuscan
12x Cerbera
20x Chimaera
5x Griffith
4x S
5x Wedge
1x Classic

= 66 TVRs !!!

Plus:

1x Boxster
1x 911
1x Ferrari
1x Bentley
1x MG
1x Vauxhall Lotus Racing Car

72 cars in total.

Well it was a fantastic day and even hough I'm not a TVR owner yet i was soon made to feel welcome by a very friendly bunch!

Myself and the mrs (Jade) pitched up just after 10am after receiving a cheeky invite from Dave M and proceeded to spend the next four hours drooling over anything and everything with a tvr badge!

I think i now have my heart set on purchasing a 2.9 s in some shape or form, maybe as a project depending on funds, but hey i'm hooked now!

big thanks to PPC for putting on a great day (and paul for letting me droll over his segaris)

Oh and i may be no stig but i thought 4.2 seconds on the scalextrix (spelling)
was'nt to bad lol.

cheers guys!

Hi Rob, really glad you both enjoyed it. PPC put on a great day and it's nice to know another person is hooked.

Now, there's some events coming up soon, I know Chatsworth is not likely for you, but there's S Club 09 smile

Rob,

You're welcome to follow me down to the S club campsite - that way you can really appreciate the sound the V6 makes when you're behind it on the open road evil
