Not having a TVR (sadly) & never having seen a Speed Six unit I was curious is that how the standard exhaust header pipes look ?

Seems a bit tortuous to me-it's a wonder the gas gets out at all. confused
They aren't the standard manifolds - they are the new improved ones. Apparently much more efficient and of exactly equal length.

Damned well better be, as I'm having them as part of my rebuild!

As a tuscan owner, I'm looking forward to this.

Unfortunately I won't be in the Tuscan as it's still up on axle stands after her winter refurb.

I was there today while they were setting things up. It's fascinating. If you have, had or are going to get a Speed 6 you just have to be there. It's not just heads, but chains, an ECU and gear levers.

Real quality stuff.

Not just heads, chains, ECU and gear levers, but also cranks, pistons, conrods,... well, you pretty much get it, a whole new engine in fact wink

Hi Guys,

977. You will find Cerbs are at Racing Green - including a very lovely Cerb 4.0 Speed Six (see www.racinggreentvr.com and check "Cars for Sale").

ThreeSpires. Does Peter Hugo have a copy of that picture ? As you obviously know, the XK120 your Dad once owned is in our upstairs showroom - plus many other classic Jaguars and a superb XJS too.

Those of you who are hoping that we will stay open until 17:00, or longer, just give me a bell on 078 10 50 50 59 if you are running late. But I will have eaten all the donuts by then !

Best Regards
Chas
Thanks Chas, still got your card in my wallet as it happens, but I'm about set on an AJP8, the speed6 will have to wait till I can bag a Sagaris!

Hi Everyone,

We are open and there are loads of people here and plenty of TVRs inside and outside. The bacon butties (British bacon) are delicious and are disappearing fast. The donuts come on stream at 2 p.m.

Luca Brazzi is right. There is a load of engineering that is actually beautiful art - and its hanging from the ceiling ! It looks like the Tate Modern here today - but there are no Sharks in Tanks. Just Chris and me - hunting for customers !!

Come and Quaife a coffee !

Come and Omex..... Can't find a good pun for Omex. But they do make stunning Engine Management systems for TVRs. Competition for a ghastly pun or phrase starts here:

1. "TVR Under New Management".
2.
3.

Pascale, I've clocked your post. Sorry to hear about the funeral. Was it a BMW or a Porsche ? See you when you get here.

Best Regards
Chas

Thanks for taking the time to explain all the developement work on the Speed Six.

Good day and very informative.

Hopefully I won't need a rebuilt too soon in the near future, but if the worst happens, I feel confident of where to go for the rebuild

Thanks again for a quality day, and absolutely top marks to Chris for taking me out for a spin in that exquisitely sorted T350, quite a ride, if the banks actually had any money right now, I'd go out and rob one for one of those! =D

Couldn't resist, and after talking to Martin and Colin, I had my name put on the Quaife diff... (Martin I expect a real contract one of these days LOL)

Had another go in the T350T and, hmmm... definitely needs a supercharger in my Tuscan whiiiiii wink

Chas, just like to say thanks to RG and all staff for a refreshing coffee and bacon buttie, plus some very impressive work on the speed six engine. The display of the engines was like sculpture in an art gallery, an excellent way to get up close and have a good look take some pics. Hopefully the display gets left up for a few days to allow those who couldn't make it a chance to see all. Look forward to a drive of the fff T350 and maybe snap up a speed six cerbie and slap one in if Im impressed. Any future plans to tinker with the AJP V8 as my suspicious mind thought seeing it hanging next to the FFF? Thanks for the tip about the Crazy Bear, Annabel is booking! Stuart

Hi Demondad (aka Stuart and Annabel - plus miniracers !)

Thanks for your posting. Yes I can confirm that the Art Gallery will remain in place. We talked about it after the Open Day yesterday and it may become a permanent display ! Have you thought of just buyng a Racing Green Speed Six FFF engine and hanging it in your lounge ? Alternatively, we can supply them in glass cases filled with WD40 ! Martin is taking commissions for these future artistic heirlooms, which could one day be worth more than the cars for which they have been created !!

You are very welcome to have a drive in the T350 FFF demonstrator. Good idea, a Cerbera Speed Six FFF. What did you think of the Agregio Pearl one in the showroom, with 7,000 miles and already loaded with a Safaris Speed Six 4.0 Litre S enine tweaked by John Ravenscroft himself ?

Thought you might find the Crazy Bears in Stadhampton and Beaconsfield interesting http://www.crazybeargroup.co.uk. I reckon the Stadhampton one (near Oxford), with a huge car park, would make a very good destination for a TVR Sunday lunch outing, now that the weather is more TVRish.

If you start a topic, Annabel, Dee and I will come !

Thanks and Best Regards,
Chas

Hi RichB,

Spotted that you are up for a run out to the Crazy Bear at Stadhampton.

However, given your website: www.greenbear.co.uk , I reckon that was a "Given".
